☑ Maintain All Equipment on Site (Rig, Compressor, Truck with Rig is Mounted On, Backhoe, Mud Shaker, Trailers, Forklift)

☑ Oversee the Controls & Functions of the Rig At All Times (Rotary Table, Control Panel, Hose, Fittings, Bentonite, Oil, Sump Pit Drill Pipe, Drill Bits) **

☑ Take Samples of Drill Cuttings Every 20FT and Log it in the Drillers Log Form

☑ Maintain Safe & Steady Drilling Speeds **

☑ Perform Repairs to the Rig & All Attached & Detached Equipment as Necessary **

☑ Order Parts For Equipment (if over $5000 must have Supervisor Approval)

☑ Keep the Customer Updated on the Job Site of Drilling Conditions, Formations Being Drilled Through & Professional Opinion for Duration of the Job

☑ Oversee any and all Individual on the Job Site **

☑ Initiate, Run & Approve all Pipe Connections, Casing Lengths, (Blank & Perf) Gravel Tonnage, & Seal Depths

The purpose of this job description is to establish, define, and communicate the requirements of the Mechanic at Arthur and Orum Well Drilling, Inc. This document provides expectations, responsibilities, duties, and performance requirements for the position.

Function

The mechanic effectively performs routine maintenance on trucks, trailers and equipment. He/She is skilled at inspecting various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms to ensure safe and effective operations. Mechanic has knowledge of different shop tools and equipment. This position is skilled at diagnosis of malfunctions of defective equipment by inspecting and testing with diagnostic equipment to determine how to address the problem. The mechanic is also skilled at repair and replacement of parts as required placing trucks, trailers and equipment back in service in good working order. This position maintains shop and shop equipment. The mechanic is required to travel periodically and remain out of town for an indeterminate amount of time.

Reporting Relationships

Mechanics report directly to the Shop/Yard Supervisor.
